Hamptons heavyweights to serve up new restaurants in booming East End

“Harbor Bistro’s popular chef/owner Damien O’Donnell moved to Chris Eggert’s and Kevin Boles’ Hamptons classic, where he is now chef and partner of Bostwick’s on the Harbor.”

East End Eats: Let The Season Begin!

Bostwick’s on the Harbor, in Springs, opens for the season on May 5th. This seafood-centric restaurant enjoys one of the Hamptons’ best views, overlooking Three Mile Harbor. Oysters-on-the-half-shell and very cold rosé are just one of the de rigueur pairings that make dinner (and Happy Hour) worthwhile at this sunset-facing spot. Now in its fourth year, Bostwick’s on the Harbor continues to be first-come, first-served in terms of table availability. The restaurant doesn’t have an online, delivery, or take-out platform (they defer to their sibling restaurant, Bostwick’s Chowder House, for that) so you’ll just have to enjoy the ephemeral food in person.

Best Oysters In The Hamptons From East To West

“The seafood at Bostwick's On the Harbor is tough to beat. While everything on the raw bar menu is top-notch, the Peconic Oysters on the half shell have the perfect balance of salty and buttery. Served raw, these plump oysters come with delicious cocktail sauce and a zesty mignonette.”

Best Places To Watch The Sunset In The Hamptons

Famous for having one of the most amazing views in East Hampton, we recommend getting there early if you want to bask in the glorious sunset. To accompany the view, you should definitely order the Clams On the Half Shell, Montauk Yellowfin Tuna Crudo, or if you’re a real seafood lover, the Raw Bar Sampler. We would come here just for the seafood, but the sunset makes the experience 10/10.

8 Hot Hamptons Restaurants To Try Any Time Of Year

By day, we can’t get enough of the clams (fried or steamed) and lobster rolls at the iconic Bostwick’s Chowder House. It’s a great place for a leisurely summer lunch or brunch, but the no-frills, no-reservations-needed picnic tables may not be as appealing on a chillier evening.

That’s where the new Bostwick’s on the Harbor comes in, dishing out steamed lobsters, strip steak and the same seafood pasta the original is known for — all with a side of Three Mile Harbor views.
